What we are aiming at

The target is WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That is a goal we build toward, not a certification we hold. Nobody has audited this site against the standard and we are not going to claim conformance we have not tested for.

What the course is built out of

The course is text. Lessons are real headings, paragraphs, lists, and code blocks rather than images of text or video you have to watch, so a screen reader can read the whole thing and you can resize it, restyle it, or feed it to whatever tool you prefer. There is no audio or video to caption, no timed exercise, and nothing that requires a mouse to complete.

The interface runs dark by default at a contrast level chosen for long reading sessions, animations respect a reduced-motion preference, and the reader is navigable by keyboard.

Where it is known to fall short

The course map is a spatial, animated diagram of the curriculum. It is the weakest surface here for keyboard and screen reader use. Every module and lesson the map links to is also reachable from the list view and from ordinary in-page navigation, so nothing is only available through the map, but the map itself is not yet up to the standard the rest of the reader aims for.

Checkout runs on Stripe and sign-in runs on Clerk. Both are third-party interfaces with their own accessibility work, which we do not control.

If something blocks you

Email hello@codewithvibes.com and put accessibility in the subject. Tell us as much as is useful, the page, your browser and assistive technology, and what happened, though none of that is required and a sentence is fine. We will reply, and where something is genuinely blocking access to material you paid for we will find another way to get it to you while the fix is made.

Changes

As things get fixed or new problems get found, this page changes with a new effective date.
